MAC Face & Body Foundation.... again!

Remember how much I liked the MAC Face & Body foundation in my last post? I liked it so much that I (somewhat) guiltily got 2 more bottles, both in different shades. I got it in shades C1, and C2...I do think they match me better. I was doing endless swatching online because I don't really like going into the MAC stores. I am normally NC20-25 but most of my foundations are NC25ish and sometimes they can come off too yellow for me which was why I settled for shade N2 (neutral) in the beginning. I went to several MAC stores a handful of times and they matched me with NC15 which I thought, in my mind, was out worldly.

Anyway,  I've noticed a lot of people were concerned with MAC foundations because they broke out from it. I've never had any bad experiences with MAC before, but I used to use their studio tech foundation (the one in the compact), and I had hives around my face as a result of it. That was years ago, and I'm not sure if they've changed formulas since. Also, the face & body one does not have sunscreen in it, which is pleasant because those sunscreen ingredients aren't there and it photographs better.

It's becoming kind of a holy grail foundation for me this summer. I love that it's water based, because I have unseasonably dry skin year round. At first, since it's a face and body foundation, I thought it would be super dense but it's quite the opposite. In fact, it's most liquidy foundation I've ever used :p

I do hope you are all ending your week well. It's Friday, after all :)

I also wanted to remind you all not to forget to enter my giveaway sponsored by Apothica and SkincareRX (link) :) You have until Aug 24th to complete your entries. Gonna be street food hopping in San Fran this weekend. Enjoy the rest of your day! :)

You look so gorgeous! I wouldn't think twice about repurchasing more bottles if it looked this good so don't you feel guilty about hoarding ;) This post made me want to try out MAC again!

Mac Studio Fix Fluid, Select SPF 15, Studio Sculpt and Mineralize Satinfinish all broke me out. Initially, I thought it was the SPF that broke me out, but my Dior Forever foundation has SPF and it doesn't break me out. Then, I checked out the ingredients on this site: http://www.cosdna.com/ and they said that Mac foundations contain alot of ingredients that causes bad skin reactions.

I haven't tried the Face & Body foundation because (1) I'm scared it might break me out and (2) I prefer medium coverage foundations.

But it does look really good on you. It looks natural and looks like your own skin. =)

Your skin looks fantastic! This foundation sounds nice because it's water based and it look absolutely natural on you. I did hear about the acne problems with MAC stuff but your pictures give me hope!

It doesn't break me out either and it's water resistant so it's super good for sports.

WOW.....you wear an NC20 or 25? You are one fair lady...I used to buy NC 40. YIKES! Anyways I didn't have any strange reactions to the MAC foundation only issue I had was separation on my face throughout the day. It didn't control oil too well. So glad you are finding the perfect foundation, it is not an easy task in the US!

The foundation looks great on your skin - i might just grab some to test out, i've been looking for foundation without SPF in it.. Such a pain when taking photos.. makes me look too white :(

you are GLOWING there!! The foundation looks natural too!! I have similar sentiments to a lot of people who thinks that MAC foundations tend to break people out ... You're lucky it doesn't affected you. I have never ever worn their foundation (only tried their tinted moisture) You definitely tempted me in try this foundation!

You have pretty much perfect skin! This foundation looks extremely natural on you. I am unfortunately one of those people who ends up breaking out from MAC foundations, as much as I wish I didn't. :-(

How awesome! I'm really glad I saw this post. I've avoided MAC foundations like the plague since I have sensitive skin. Maybe I'll get a sample and give this one a go. I think I'll have to wrap my head around the color scheme though. I'm probably ~NC20-25 like you so I might try shades similar to yours

Your right, I hear that MAC foundations break most ppl out. I'm also lucky that Ive never broken out before when I use to use Studio Fix Fluid. I have a friend who loves the MAC face & body foundation too. I have yet to try it or swatch it but I really should.

This is my next purchase, after I finish two half bottles I have left. I'm gonna wait until my summer tan fades before I get some of this! Though I'm lazy, I love the idea of sunscreen-less foundations. I hate wearing makeup for pictures exactly because of that! Do you have some sunscreen recommendations?

I haven't had any issues with my MAC foundation. I just the studio finish foundation and it's been wonderful to me. I guess different formulas for different people :) I love how flawless your skin looks in all of these photos.

SO gorgeous!!
I used MAC foundies for years and years then one day it just started oxidising like mad on me and even when I went as light as NC15, it would still make me look like an oompa loompa a hour or two later :(
Did you notice any oxidation with the F&B?

Looks very fresh on you! I'm unfamiliar with Mac foundations in general...should get color matched at their stores now that I think about it...You have amazing facial structure! (hope that doesn't sound too weird) Lovely cheekbones and sharp planes! I'd love to have such definition!
