I recently tweeted that I am in LOVE with the MAC Face & Body Foundation! LOL I only got it 3 days ago but it's so unique that I'm surprised I never took a 2nd glance at it! o_o I read a lot of reviews from other bloggers and I've been dying to try it for months. I was feeling guilty to purchase it since I had so many foundations at home, but I was like.. what the hey... o_o I have absolutely no self control.
The Face & Body foundation is an ultra sheer, ultra liquidy foundation that provides sheer coverage and has a dewy/satin finish. I shouldn't even call it a foundation because it's soooo liquidy. When you pour it out, you literally have to watch it so it doesn't roll off your hands.
Packaging: I'm not big on how it looks. It's not gorgeous to look at... it's more like something makeup artists carry in their arsenal. But it's sensible packaging with the foundation in the plastic bottle with a trusty twist cap closure. It's neither yay or nay but all uniformly MAC.
I got the shade in N2... it's neither cool or warm, just a very skin-like color. And if you look closely enough, it's more like a liquidy pigment of color. It's very light, but it blends out like a dream (sorry for the cliche).
You have to shake the bottle before you pour it on your hands because the foundation separates. This is from what I read online so I do it beforehand in case. It's probably due to the high level of water in it.
This is partially blended. It looks darker on my hand, but it turns brighter as it's being blended.
Blended out. It's very dewy so a nice blotting powder will set this foundation evenly.

Indoor lighting
It's not going to cover blemishes and other stubborn flaws, but a sheer foundation is amazing at evening out the skin tone.
On me. I have a pimple where my beard would be...LOL
The sheerness of it may turn some people off but it's really a nice well rounded product. It feels more like a tinted moisturizer than anything else because of how hydrating it is. I know a lot of people who've had allergies to MAC foundations... I'm not sure if this has the same ingredients as their studio sculpting one. I haven't come across allergies using it, but I'll def report it if I do.
Here are the ingredients:
Purified Water, Cyclopentasiloxane, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Butylene Glycol, PVP/Hexadecene Copolymer, Polyglyceryl-3 Diisostearate, Ethylhexyl Hydroxystearate, Tea-Stearate, PVP/Eicosene Copolymer, Stearic Acid, Talc, Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Oil, Santalum Album (Sandalwood), Tocopherol, Xanthan Gum, Dimethicone, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Trimethylsiloxysilicate, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Zinc Stearate, Cetyl Alcohol, Disodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Butylparaben. May contain: Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxides, Chromium Oxide Greens.
There is also no sunscreen ingredients in it either. Some people get allergies from the sunscreen in makeup from reacting chemicals.
Price-wise, I'd say this is an incredible deal. It's $32 retail for 4oz/120ml. That's like 4 different foundations for the price of one! That's $8 per ounce... cheaper than a drugstore foundation.
Have you tried Mac's Face & Body Foundation? Thoughts?
disclaimer: purchased myself :)

Eh, I know that it's got a lot of product, but I dunno, I think I can get a tinted moisturizer that'd be better, and possibly for better value. MAC's so expensive in Aus. Thanks for the review though, glad it worked for you :)
this foundation looks awesome on but you have great skin anyway ;) Love the natural look, very pretty!!
never tried this product but always love a sheer natural looking foundation :)
i heard a lot of ppl use this on their body in darker shades instead of a fake tan. it is suppose to really be sweat/waterproof. i'm surprised it's so affordable!!! i think it looks great on you!!
It looks amazingly natural! I used to use this a long time ago when I was a student - need to look a it again!
It looks great on you. And it's a plus for me that it's sheer. Never had problems with their foundation too so this could very well be worth looking at. :)
wow. it photographs very well.
yes yes yes! i've tried that a few years ago! well it wasn't mine though but my friends. we had the same shade (C3 cuz we're pretty yellow lol) and she did my make up before we had a girl's night out ^^. i must say, it was pretty worth it for the price since it does come in a 4 oz bottle! i loved that it was sheer and it had given me a slight dewy look (my skin was a bit during winter when i was able to try it). i planned on getting this one a couple of months ago but since it didn't have sunscreen, i just settled with the studio sculpt which has a more thicker consistency than this one :/. it looks very natural doesn't it? looks good on you :D & even though it's sheer, it does even out the skintone nicely.
I haven't tried this one yet just because of its sheerness! I know a lot of bloggers love it though....but my foundation needs to have coverage for me to be happy. x)
Absolute favourite foundation of all time! I'll never get bored of this foundation!!! Love it!
I've been wanting to try this too, but I still have a lot of liquid foundation to finish. But I like how it's sheer and light weight. It actually looks really good on your face and looks very natural.
it's a great water based foundation~ but I am using OCC for airbrush in my kit so I am not planning to invest in the MAC ones~ ;)
everytime i see pictures of a review that you did on a foundation.. i'm like amazed at how gorgeous your skin is.. but i'm starting to think it has more to do with the fact that you REALLY actually have gorgeous skin to begin with hahahaha.
so glad you love it!! It looks great on you.
Wow, when you put it that way, thats a great price! Thanks for the review!
I've never tried this foundation but it looks beautiful on your skin! I used to use Studio Fix foundation from MAC but somehow it would separate on my face throughout the day so I converted to Lancome Teint Idole. I may go back and to try MAC to see how this looks! I think this may also be the first time I've actually seen you and you are beautiful! To answer your question about my dress, it cannot be cleaned...only spot cleaned. I've only worn it 4 times so it hasn't gotten dirty.
"I have a pimple where my beard would be" HAHAHAHA omg you're hilarious!! :)
I like it too!! In fact, I'm wearing it right now. It's really good for sports. (:
Wonderful review. Thanks. I've actually been wanting to try it for a while now, but there isn't a MAC counter where I live (which sucks) and I don't want to purchase it online since I have no idea what my shade is.

Great review :) It looks lovely on you. I love this foundation! xx
I have it in C2 and I like wearing it in the summer because it is light and breathable for my skin:))
this review is so helpful. :) thank you! it looks amazing on you. and, i can't seem to spot the pimple you speak of. haha! :)
Hmm I've never tried this foundation before. I currently use MAC's studio finish foundation but I have a love/hate relationship with it because some days it'll make me look flawless and other days.. not so much.
Im glad this product worked out for you! Have you tried the bbcream that MAC is putting out? Or is it out already? Im everywhere when it comes to make up LOL
Yay for us for being with our partners for 4 years!
never tried it before but looks like a pretty good deal.
It seems like a foundation that I would love, a light wash of color without much coverage :D Thanks for the review! It's very detailed and to the point. It might not be the cheapest foundation you have found but is indeed a HUGE bottle of foundation. I am sure it'd last you a lifetime lol. After trying some MAC powder when I was young (simply because its cheaper compared to say, Dior or YSL), I kinda stopped using MAC face products because they are always so thick and dry. Thank god they come up with something like this. After seeing your pictures, of which you look gorgeous btw, I am sure this is the foundation I am gonna purchase on my list :D
Hi, I just stumbled onto your blog and so glad that I did. I was wondering about this Mac foundation, i've been using Laura Mercier religiously (the tinted moisturizer) and am looking for something different. It looks so great on you, thanks so much for the post!
Is this the wonderful foundation you were referring to on Twitter? :O
Looks amazing.. i want to try it out now coz i need something to even out my skin tone XD
Thanks gorgeous for the review <33
I like dewy looks! What's your shade in mac?
Your skin looks flawless!!
It looks great on you! I've not touched Mac foundations since breaking out from one of it many years ago. But this looks interesting :-)
Thanks for this review! :) you look great in it ^_^
Glad this works for you!
the foundation looks like it blends well with your skin but man your skin is FLAWLESS!!
it looks real good but sad to say, most MAC product give me breakouts:/
Thanks for the great review! I've never tried any of MAC's foundations myself. I always thought they would be very heavy on the skin. I'm surprised to hear that this foundation is so lightweight and moisturizing though. I would have expected a body foundation to be heavier and provide more coverage. It looks great on you though! It really evens out your skin tone nicely :) I have dry skin year round, so I think this foundation would probably work well for me because of its high water content.
Thanks for the review, you always look great whenever you do a review! =)
I love all things MAC! The color looks so, so good on you!!
I hope that you can check out the blog that I just started with my sister and follow us back :)
Also, we are doing a great giveaway right now for a Tiffany & Co. necklace!!
Blessings,
