MAC MSF: Stereo Rose / Review

Stereo Rose has been one of the most coveted MAC MSF's I have ever encountered. Before the re-release, I had been searching everywhere for it! I received the 2010 one as a gift many months ago but not before perusing eBay at its ridiculous prices! Since the re-release, it had me thinking of its hype. Is it worth the hype? Are their any dupes?

This MSF makes for a beautiful glowy blush and an extremely lovely rose highlighter. It's a bright coral with bronze undertones. The golden shimmers are subtle and adds a nice warmth to the pan which is just a swirl of prettiness!

It looks darker in my photos due to indoor lighting but the blush translates gorgeously onto the skin with its vibrant sheen.

Lasting power is really impressive. It stays on all day through wind and rain. It's of those blushes where a little goes a long way. The pigments are amazing!

The packaging is classic MAC. Sleek, with a see through lid. You can see the shimmers straight from the pan but it is not sparkly at all.

These swatches aren't even close to how pretty this blush is in real life!

Overall, I really love this blush. I don't opt for this regularly because the blush is very obvious when worn but I think it looks fantastic in photography. It really is a "must-have" for blush fiends and highlighter lovers but Milani's Rose D'Oro is a very close dupe. Personally, Petticoat is amongst one of my favorites from MAC but Stereo Rose has its place in my heart as well.

Did you buy into the hype of Stereo Rose? Thoughts?

I love Stereo Rose a ton, and I had to repurchase backups when it was rereleased. I agree that it was so hyped up and the price is outrageous DX

I've heard of this legendary blush and probably looked around for it like crazy at some point, but I think Temptalia is right. Stereo Rose was very desirable at some point because it was one of the first good peachy corals, but nowadays there are many options out there, so I didn't insist on getting it when it was re-launched. Still, there's no denying it's a GORGEOUS blush and I love it on you so much!

I don't own this one yet..I'm just too skeptical because of my large pores and the visible shimmer in this one..Looks fantastic on you though! :)

I haven't brought a lot of MAC stuff, but this blush is so pretty that gives you a wonderful and healthy glow. I hope to try this in the long run.  I gotta stop my makeup addict splurge.

I don't have Stereo Rose because I think it is a bit too 'bronzy' for my liking. But it looks beautiful on you!! It gives your skin a really nice glow ;)

I like its rusty color. Looks nice on you. Currently, I'm really into bronzed colors for cheeks.

im not very up to date with MAC products - just because it's so ridiculously over-priced here in NZ, but this blusher looks great on you (i wont be buying into the hype because i prefer matte blush when i actually wear it XD

It looks lovely, soft and glowy on your cheeks! I was expecting it to be more pigmented and red but it looks more golden and softer in your pics. I think this colour could probably be dupable though, but it's always nice to have your hands on the real deal!

Very gorg and comes off very natural on your fair skin! I have been liking similar sorts of shades although I'd have wanted this to be a bit more peachy! Looks fab on you though!

I've never tried this but I've heard it's name often. Seeing it now, it does look gorgeous! I love blush and highlighter but don't like overly shimmery or straight up glittery ones. Stereo Rose looks like it would go with just about anything. Thanks for the review :)
