Sally Hansen Nails and Cuticle Hand Creme + Giveaway winner!

I love collecting hand creams, especially small, travel sized ones. Some of my favorites are the L'occitane ones, Crabtree & Evelyn, Lollia. I have to say that I collect them out of pure fondness for the packaging.

I recently tried a new hand cream I got from the Influencer's June summer Vox Box. While the packaging is not charming, the formulation of the hand cream is really nice.

This cream has a very smooth, almost a primer-like feel to it. Incidentally, that is because one of the first ingredients present is dimethicone - a type of silicone oil made to feel slippery and smooth.

I like that the hand cream is nearly invisible once you wear it because it seems like it sinks into the skin right away. They claim that moisture is locked in for 24 hrs, using shea butter to soften the cuticles and nails.

I found that it works beautifully before and after a manicure. It instantly made my hands feel moisturized without the greasy feel or any heaviness.

The cream smells like a orange creamsicle! Quite literally. Tropical and delightful and none too strong a smell.

The packaging, however, is okay. Not too ideal because loose caps are not cool to lose.

Overall, this cream has a lasting impression on my hands and has made them feel very nurtured before and after a manicure. I wore it to sleep the last couple of days and my hands felt extra smooth in the morning. I do like this cream but it wasn't a stand out for me. I don't think I'll repurchase because I have a personal interest in collecting creams with prettier packaging.

I also really like the Locittane one. i think it is called the Shea butter hand cream or something. Too bad this one wasn't like a super great cream :( Have you tried the Jurlique ones? I've only heard about those but never actually bought one before.

This cream sounds nice! =) I'm not very big on hand creams. I haven't really jumped into the bandwagon of focusing on my hands...though I probably should. My hands need a lot of love haha!

A good hand cream is a must if you live in Canada! Glad that there's a really affordable one like SH; I use the ones from BBW but they're more gimmicky than functional so I switched to a Nivea one! Love your nail color ;D

Popcorn: I have been meaning to try some Jurlique body care. I hear nothing but how great they are :)

Steph: The BBW ones are gimicky! They do have nice scents though :)

I love Sally Hansen hand cream - I have one called Radiant Hands, Nails & Cuticles creme. Not sure if it's more or less the same as this one but it also smells like orange candy :p It's great for when I'm painting my nails. I also like the rose one from Jurlique - the scent is heavenly.

Have you tried the Aesop one? Aesop has this reeaaally nice hand cream with both pleasant texture and smell. Also, there's nothing icky in the ingredient list!

It sounds quite nice! The smell too. But yeah, I would probably go on the hunt for more attractively-packaged hand creams too hehe ;)

I use Vaseline brand hand lotion (not the petroleum jelly; the thought alone makes me feel greasy). It may not be fancy but it works well, especially in the winter. I'm all for a light hand cream (my skin tends on the dry side, especially around the knuckles)so I'll be sure to check it out.

I like Earth Therapeutics' Gardener's Hand Repair and Jack Black's hand cream; I received this from Influenster as well and I felt that it didn't really provide enough moisture for truly dry hands.
