Review! Bourjois Healthy Mix

I have yet another foundation review for you all. I just love base makeup SO hard. It's the one thing that can never do wrong.

I've been seeing the Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation on the blogger circle for awhile now. Unfortunately, it is not available in the US but it's not hard to find it online. I bought mine a little while ago and I've been using it almost everyday. Bourjois claims that this foundation is radiance boosting (antioxidants from fruit enzymes) and provides 8 hours of moisture and up to 16 hours of long wear.

My verdict?

I can easily say that this foundation is one of the best I've ever used. It has a nice yellow undertone that works seamlessly for Asian skin tones like mine and it matches me nearly 100% (shade 52 Vanilla), which is also hard to come by as I'm sure many of you have experienced when searching high and low for the perfect foundation.  Another reason I really like this is because it is not greasy at all, goes on semi-matte and has a nice satin finish that looks natural and weightless.

The coverage is light to medium and blends effortlessly. I find that I like foundations that give your skin room to breathe so your natural skin will still show through, but have enough coverage to even everything out.

I love that this is also a budget conscious product. You get a high quality foundation without having to empty your wallet at the counter. The packaging is really simple, travel and user friendly. The foundation smells very fruity and pleasant. I can't say that it bothers me one bit :)

The only con I could think of is that it's not available in the US. It should be! WHY ISN'T IT?!

I've heard great things about this, too, but since it's not available here, I've never looked much into it. It looks fabulous, though!

It looks good on you, what is your MAC shade by the way, I wouldn't mind checking this out.

Jacqueline: I'm an NC20-25 in MAC :)

I got this in the mail last week and I love it too! Glad it went on sale on ASOS cause in stores here in Canada, it's about $28 for the serum version ;__;

This foundation has been popping up everywhere & with raves! Now I'm all tempted...good thing it's not available in stores or else I'd probably go crazy searching for it LOL But why not Bourjois in the US?! They should listen to all the love and bring it over :P

I'm a huge fan of this foundation too! Can't find anything v wrong with it except that it contains a lot of silicones (but that is why it looks soooo damn gd!) which could potentially clog your pores...but so far I've been fine with it and I just make sure I cleanse my face thoroughly afterwards.

It looks lovely on you! Do you like it better than Mac's f&b? :)

I think Asos sells it and they have free shipping. Having a hard time colour matching myself though

Angelica: Yes, I def like it more than the Mac F&B :D It smells nicer, that's for sure!

Oh wow, from your swatch I can already tell I'm gonna love its texture! It's available here in Indonesia BUT as usual the shades are very limited. I asked for the darker shade and it's not dark enough for me. Bummer. :(

It looks so beautiful on you! I wish bourjois wasn't so expensive here in Australia! I've been wanting to try this foundation for the longest time!

This is my first foundation and I've been loving it so far! I guess one of the very few makeup-related good things about living in Europe is Bourjois is easily available and possibly very cheap when there's a promotion. Glad to hear you like it too!

Great review - it look amazing on you, very natural and flawless :)
I've sadly not picked it up because the shades are a bit limiting and I couldn't find one that matched me :(

I NEED to get this. And in that color! We are the same MAC color and undertone, and like the same sort of coverage! That's why I love your foundation reviews :D I'm definitely ordering this.

Great coverage! But I'm sure it's also because you already have flawless skin to begin with ;) I wanted to try this ever since I saw Lisa Eldridge use it :)

I have pale, splotchy skin (freckle remains from the summer, I think). Would you happen to know if they have a shade to complement translucent skin with yellowish undertones? I have a Chanel "foundation" that does crap job. It's expensive and doesnt cover for beans!

Your face looks really nice and the coverage is great.

Great post! I saw Bourjois products often and swatched their eyeshadow, since it was unpigmented, I gave up on the rest of the line.. However, you changed my mind, you look beautiful!

Wow the foundation looks like your own skin!! pretty!! :D I'm jealous that you have a 100% match, I'm in the middle of yellow and pink so it's hard for me :(

Looks so natural on you! Great match and I was surprised to hear last year that Bourjois pulled our from the states. A local singaporean blogger also reviewed shade 52 as her perfect match! I hope to get it sometime when there's a sale otherwise it's about $28 dollars a pop over here!:)
