Revlon: Pink Afterglow, Lilac Pastelle, Lilac
I was surely enticed by the lilacs. Not sure why, but I am so drawn to these lavender shades :) And as always, here are some swatches and lip close ups. Might I say, the lipstick formula is wonderful. It penetrates into your lips like a true balm w/the exception of pretty color!

I also noticed that if you want to make your lip color more "true" to the shade, wear a lip base. I tried that too. I used Nivea's A kiss of Protection on my lips before applying anything else. It creates a white-ish cast on your lips just like a concealer would, but this has some moisturizing properties.

i usually just wear chapstick under lipstick. i too think concealer would be too drying. maybe i'll try the nivea you used. too bad there aren't any cvs stores in canada. so many of you guys are talking about the sale!

I apply lip balm then some gloss! :) I have this lippie from Hong Kong that's actually a mint lip balm but it looks like lipstick. It's pretty cool.

LOL fatty at dimsum I can totally relate. But I was more so a hog with the Rimmel lippies at $1.50 each. I got the revlon lilac too..purply pinks are just so feminine on the lips : )

Love the Lilac on you! Your lips are so pretty. I have to try this base too. I didn't know about it. I wonder if lip balm would do the trick too. I usually just apply directly.
I went to CVS 3 times during this clearance. Haha. I got the Rimmel lipsticks first time I went. Second time I was looking for Revlon's lipsticks and only got Lilac. Third time at a different CVS, I found the Revlon in Mauve. Now I'm a happy camper. :)
I totally agree with you on using a lip base! My lips are annoyingly pigmented so it's so difficult for lipsticks to show up on me. I use concealer, but I'm thinking about picking up this Nivea balm. Thanks for the post!

I actually just use my revlon nude attitude underneath my lipsticks because that shade is pretty much a lip eraser for me. Wearing it alone makes me look sick.
oooh! Awesome finds! My CVS was stripped bear by the time I went in for those sales. I actually couldn't find anything I wanted for those sales. >.< but Revlon lipsticks and glosses are the way to go! :)
I love lilacs and lavenders but they just look horrible on me...So to fulfill my hunger for these shades, I resort to nail polishes lol Glad you could pick up some products from the CVS sale, I didn't get anything mostly because everything I would want was already out of stock by the time I could go to CVS.

CVS is so tempting. I still have stuff from their last season's CVS sale. but I checked it out and and stocked up on mascaras. I've been curious about lavender lip shades, but they actually appear less purple then I expected. I should look into it now. Great haul!

I LOVE the little 75% off stickers at CVS! I almost got the lilac colored gloss because it was 75% off, but then I decided that since I never wear lip gloss, it would be silly for me=) The lilac lipstick however...I'll have to keep that in mind.
I usually use lip balms underneath because my lips get chapped easily. Your kitty is so cute! I plan on getting a cat one day =)

aww, I am so jealous of you people that are near CVS (and a whole lot other stores that I'm hearing having a 50%-70% sale)..XD There are so many goodies..! Love the Revlon lip gloss and lipstick that you got ^^ I've been eye-ing the lilac one for a while now but have to wait coz I recently splurged on Wet n Wild stuff..haha

Thanks for the tip about the lip base! I'm been so envious of the various CVS hauls I've seen so far, but was afraid to go because I know I'll be tempted to buy tons of products I probably won't end up using, since I don't wear makeup on a reg basis. And I know I've said it before, but you have such nice lips! Wish I could say the same for mine.
Nice haul! I'm a bit sad that I'm missing out on all the good deals haha. Thanks for the tip on the lip base - I feel like lipsticks never go on true-to-color because my lips are pretty pigmented. I'll have to take a look into getting a good lip primer :)

Thanks so much for the base tip...never thought of that before. I usually do not wear much lip color, just chapstick for me. I would like to start branching out into that area, though. The lilac is gorgeous on you!

definitely want to try that nivea lip concealer now :D I usually use face concealer and it sinks into all the lines on my lips :P and ughhh i dunno what it is but I am always tempted by your l/s posts :(! and your cat is adorable ^_^!
ahhhh I always go with lip balm! I cannot survive without it *sigh* hahahaha. I have those lipglosses but they appear so much better on you than they do on me, even with a balm base.
I'm definitely digging the balm + lipstick trick. Exfoliating time! I know what I'm doing tomorrow.
